Biosecurity

Rose Acre Farms takes biosecurity seriously to protect our birds. We have several procedures in place that everyone must follow, from team members to vendors to visitors. Our Biosecurity Committee is dedicated to ensuring our plans and procedures are crafted using the latest information available.

Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) has and continues to be a top biosecurity concern.

RAF Carriers & Vendors

Due to the recent surge in Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) reporting, the RAF Biosecurity Committee recommends that vehicular travel through counties reported to have HPAI in commercial layer complexes be avoided. If travel cannot be avoided through the affected counties a vehicle wash must be taken immediately prior to arrival at a Rose Acre Farm (RAF) location. The wash ticket shall be presented to the guard shack personnel upon arrival.

Carriers can choose the truck wash location most convenient for them. Blue Beacon Truck Wash is a national chain available 24/7* with locations across the U.S. *See Blue Beacon Truck Wash website for possible holiday closures.

Visit this resource to view the affected counties. For questions, contact the Biosecurity Committee at biosecurity@roseacre.com.

Below is the latest information available from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) on HPAI Confirmed Detections.
