Michael's Rice and Meat Balls

Made with Kraft Miracle Whip Salad Dressing (do NOT substitute mayo)
This recipe came about when Michael's mother asked, "what shall we have for dinner?" And the only ingredients to be found were hamburger, rice, Miracle Whip, and mushrooms! This is a very tasty delicious main course that is delicious with almost any side dish!

Items needed:

  • 1 lb ground beef rolled into half-dollar sized balls
  • 2 or 3 heaping tablespoons Kraft Miracle Whip Salad Dressing (Important note: do NOT substitute regular mayo, it must be made with Kraft Miricle Whip to taste correct)
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 small can sliced cooked mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon ground celery seed
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Prepare and cook rice to directions on the package the rice came in. The rice should be fully cooked. While steaming rice, brown hamburger until meatballs are completely cooked, and no pink remains inside each. When rice is fully cooked add Miracle Whip Salad Dressing, Mushrooms, and ground celery seed. Mix together and cook over medium heat. Add more Miracle Whip if necessary. Add ground beef meatballs. Mix together and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook together until all ingredients are fully cooked and tender.

    Enjoy while freshly made!
